ART DIRECTOR

We are looking for an art director to help us drive the artistic vision and development of our next major title.
 

This is a full-time remote-working managerial position with flexible hours, joining our executive team.  As Art Director, you will see the creation of our games from start to finish, including by helping to define the aesthetic of the game, collaboratively communicating that vision to our art team, mentoring and supporting the art team as assets are developed, and contribute to that development process themselves.  We are looking for somebody to join us for the long-haul and lend their creative vision to the future catalogue of LRDG products.  We aim to provide a healthy and fun work environment that is diverse and inclusive. Responsibilities

• Create concept paintings and other benchmark assets that establish quality expectations and inspire others.

• Participate virtually in regular executive-level meetings and art-team meetings as-needed.
• Provide coaching and leadership for our artist team.
• Help drive to build the talent of the team.
• Participation in the development of 3D assets, with a specific emphasis towards modelling, rigging and animation.
• Working alongside an international team of designers, programmers, artists and audio engineers.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' in-industry experience crafting video game art.
• Willingness to assume a leadership role to drive the creative direction of a game.
• You truly enjoy working with others.
• You love a good strategy game.
• You love the freedom and flexibility that comes with teleworking. 
• You take initiative to solve problems and have excellent follow-through.
• Extensive experience in developing a unique and cohesive visual style in a team environment.
• Proven track record of delivering clear and consistent visual feedback that elevates the art team's work.
• A desire to work closely with game design to make sure the game's art improves the player experience.

3D ARTIST

We are looking for a 3D artist comfortable with modelling, rigging and animation in Maya or Blender to help develop assets for our next major game.
 

Reporting to the Art Director, you will be an integral part of bringing the animal characters of our next game to life through semi-realistic texturing, modeling, rigging and animation.  Your contributions will impact both new and upcoming titles.  We aim to provide a healthy and fun work environment that is diverse and inclusive. Responsibilities

• Produce incredible organic 3D assets for use in our next game.

• Report to the art director and participate in art-team meetings as needed.

Requirements

• Experience in 3D modeling and texturing, preferably with games.
• Solid working knowledge and experience with Maya or Blender.
• Knowledge of animation essential.

• Knowledge of the asset integration pipelines for Godot is considered an asset.
