Producer

Little Red Dog Games is an established remote studio with an international team spread across many time-zones.  We’re looking for a Producer to join our leadership team and oversee the production of a single space strategy game, ensuring we empower our teams and provide regular feedback to our publishers.  Reporting to our Executive Producer, we are looking for both leadership and industry experience in project management to manage tasks, facilitate communication, remove obstructions, and manage stakeholder relations.  We are looking for somebody that demonstrates our values of trust, flexibility, humility and lifelong learning.

Requirements:

 

  • 5+ years of video game production experience, having shipped at least two commercial PC titles in any genre.

  • Deep experience setting development targets and tracking their progress with impeccable detail.

  • An excellent verbal and written communicator, comfortable communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Goal-oriented and an expert at time-management and balancing multiple projects.

  • A deep passion for strategy games, particularly strategy games made by small teams.  You’ve got a favorite ‘mech, a preferred civilization or a polished deck to talk about.

  • Nice to Have:  Experience working with distributed teams.
     

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the production of two products in parallel development, including by setting and ensuring the adherence of milestones.

  • Maintain relationships with development partners and publishers.

  • Guide product strategy, and make sure that team skills and size align with project schedules and scope.

  • Standardize process and reporting methodologies for game teams.

  • Your dog must make an effort to attend any meetings.

UI/UX Artist

Little Red Dog Games is an established remote studio with an international team spread across many time-zones.  We are looking for an experienced, passionate and innovative strategy game UI/UX artist who cares deeply about well-designed user interfaces.  We’re looking for player advocates excited about the entire UI/UX process, including developing user flow diagrams, wireframe prototypes, layout designs, interactive and graphical components, transition animations and effects.

Requirements:
 

  • Experience creating, designing, and executing on, videogame interfaces.

  • Strong graphic design skills and experience - developing icons, logos, interface layout and typography.

  • The ability to adapt to different visual styles.

  • The ability to work independently; managing time, task lists and workflow with ease.

  • Detail sensitivity, a proven aesthetic eye and strong design sensibilities.

  • Excellent communication, creative collaboration and teamwork skills.

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Digital Media Design, Game Design, Illustration, or related field is desirable.

  • Strong organizational skills with adherence to optimization and asset management.

  • Passion for making and playing great games, with an awareness of current titles and industry trends.

  • Nice to Have:  Experience working with distributed teams.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Create high-quality UI visual components including - icons, logos, HUD elements, illustrations, etc.

  • Contribute to peer reviews, troubleshoot, problem solve, and give and receive constructive feedback.

  • Take ownership of the game interface designs, wireframes, menus, and create UI elements that match the functional and artistic goals of the project.

  • Articulate and shepherd complicated design and artistic discussions and reviews to reach objective outcomes that balance form and function.

  • Develop and maintain relevant documentation that clearly communicates concepts to our multidisciplinary team.

  • Work closely with the Art Director to ensure that a visually consistent and compelling user interface is implemented across products.

  • Work with the tools and in-game editor to implement UI assets and iterate on them to fine-tune the user experience.

  • Create motion graphic transitions and visual elements that bring the design to life.
